Record Lock Message

Q:  When I try to record transactions, I get a “File is locked by Another User” message. How do I correct this?

A:  Follow the procedures listed below:

  1. Make sure another user is not recording a transaction in the same company.
  2. If another user is not locking the account record, exit all Windows applications and Shut-down your computer and restart. If your workstation had an uncleared lock, this would normally solve the problem.
  3. If Option 2 does not work, have all other users in CertiflexDimension Ultra restart their workstations.
  4. If the problem persists, the server may not be releasing a lock from an inactive workstation. In this case, contact your Network Administrator about having the server restarted.
