Q: Under Add Payroll Tax Tables I have two Maryland tax tables; Maryland and Maryland – DEL. What is the difference?
A: The Maryland table is the standard tax table for employees who live and work in Maryland. The Maryland – DEL table is for employees who live in Maryland but work in Delaware.
If the employee works in a locality where they pay local taxes, you will need to select the option to Maintain Lower Limits/Additional Amounts/Percentage and adjust the percentage amount. Since the local taxes follow the state structure, you do not need to adjust any other amount.
